World Peace

"Today we must abandon competition and secure cooperation. This must be the central fact in all our considerations of international affairs; otherwise we face certain disaster. Past thinking and methods did not prevent world wars. Future thinking must prevent wars." (Albert Einstein 23,07,1946)

-Short Glossary of Albert Einstein

Albert Einstein is a renowned name not only among physicists and scientists but to the whole world. He was and is known as a genius. Einstein was a simple man. He was born on Friday March 14, 1879. In school days, his teachers and friends hated him. He was teased and considered stupid. He was hated by his friends for mainly two reasons, because he was Jew and he was different from others. He was one of the quietest students in the class. Yet because of curiosity he was the one who used to ask the most questions to teachers. This was yet another reasons his teachers hated him. He was once in his childhood amazed at the behavior of the compass. He later decided that “something deeply hidden had to be behind things.” Most of his free time he’d find himself playing his violin or scribbling notes. Einstein was interested in Math, Physics, Politics and religion. Einstein was a religious man but he was not discriminate about different religions. It is believed that when Einstein’s uncle had taught him algebra head had said that algebra is a mery science and in algebra we have to find the identity of an unknown entity which is called x. The definition probably made Einstein interested in algebra and so for the rest of his life he took algebraic equations not as assignments but as puzzles that he’d do just for fun. In 1905 A.D a scientific revolution took place due to three papers by Einstein that had been published in Annalen der Physik (Annals of Physics). The idea presented makes up an important part in the quantum theory. Max K.E.L Planck had proposed that radiation of light occurred in packets of energy called quanta, Einstein later extended the idea by arguing that light consisted of quanta, which was later called photons. With the idea he explained the photoelectric effect. He explained that the photons of light hits the metal and forces it to lose electrons. This is the photoelectric effect. In his second paper he explained the electrodynamics of moving bodies. It also consisted of the Special theory of Relativity. His third paper had an explanation of the Brownian movement. In 1915 A.D, ten years after the three papers had been published, Einstein presented yet another paper named “General Theory of Relativity”. According to Einstein the General theory was based on the Special theory. For the rest of his life, from 1920 A.D Einstein tried to create the unified field theory. But in spite of his strong determination and hard work he had no success in it. Till this date the unified field theory has not been properly finalized .Einstein was first married to Mileva Maric, whom he later divorced. And later he married his own cousin, Elsa. It seems that Einstein was not much in a want of “more” money, because despite many of the magazines had offered him a large sum of money for his autography, he refused. His “Autobiographical Notes” is the only autobiography he has written. It is said that Einstein had spoken his last words in German, in front of a nurse who didn’t understand German so no one knows what actually his last words were. After his death in 1955 A.D his brain was kept preserved, which was studied by scientists to find the secret of the great genius of Albert Einstein.

Albert Einstein has spent his whole life fighting for world peace. After inventing his great armoire, the atomic bomb, Einstein regretted it so much, because the bomb was used for destroying Japan and other countries. The atomic bomb explosions have called a lot of dead bodies. No t only in Japan, it has reflected to the whole world. From that point, Einstein travels the whole world to find peace. Einstein and his supporters have fought to the government, even to the whole world to stop using the atomic bomb. At the end Einstein wins by stopping the world and he closes his eyes. There were many conflicts during the fight. However, Einstein has never given up. He found tiny hopes from the whole world. His intuitions have made the world to become peaceful.

impossible no...possible YES

Destiny roars in the deep darkness
Hiding behind his jet black mask
He draws people to him

Destiny is always one of the mystery and goals to achieve for every cultures and religions. However, in the Alchemist, the author, Coelho have proved that anyone can achieve their own destiny. He said, ‘When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it' (Paulo Coelho P.22). The destiny is something that comes closer when we try to achieve it. When we don't even try there are going to be no possibilities that anyone can achieve their own destiny. There can be possible, but there is no impossible.

Wait...wait...and wait

Salvador Dali-The Persistence of Memory
To seek or to participate on my destiny, I have to believe it in and wait for the destiny. We have to be patient. Destiny is not something that we can see, hear or taste it. If you don't believe in destiny that is impossible to feel it, then no one can participate on their own destiny. It's people's choice to whether to participate on their own destiny or not. I don't think I have to work to participate on my own life, because I am already participating on my own destiny. I am enjoying my life and happy about it. I would like everyone to believe in something truly for their whole life.

Trust it..and follow it

‘When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.’ (Paulo Coelho P.22) This quote fully express to us that we have to seek something that you want, to be able to achieve. In The Alchemist, Santiago, a young Spanish shepherd boy travels from Andalusia to Egypt to achieve his own goals. During his journey, Santiago meets great supporters who teaches and helps him to seek his own destiny. From his life lessons, he finds his true love, destiny, and personal legends. Santiago undeniably achieved his destiny by being adventurous, knowledgeable and brave.

Santiago’s adventurous spirit helps him to achieve his own destiny and to start his journey. Santiago is born to be adventurous. Santiago and his sheep travel all around Spain region selling their wools. ‘Well, then I’ll be the shepherd.’ (Santiago p.9) It was Santiago’s dream to be a shepherd, who can travel around. Santiago’s parent wanted their son to be a priest. Santiago was educated to be a priest when he was young. Santiago learned Latin, Spanish and theology. However Santiago dreams about the treasure that is hidden beneath The Great Pyramid and decide to give up everything and search for the treasure. ‘The boy felt jealous of the freedom of the wind, and saw that he could have the same freedom. There was nothing to hold him back except himself. The sheep, the merchant’s daughter, and the fields of Andalusia were only steps along the way to his Personal Legend’ (Coelho p.27) Santiago has a family, his flocks and a woman that he likes, the merchant’s daughter. Santiago leaves his family and the merchant’s daughter in Spain and sells all his flocks. With the money, Santiago begins his journey to the Egypt finding his true destiny. Santiago is definitely adventurous to give up his all favor and decides to go to Egypt; Santiago’s intelligence also helps him through his adventure.

Through the journey, Santiago stays intelligent and learns about the hidden life by meeting the great supporters. First, he learns about destiny and the Principle of favorability from the king of Salem, King Melchizedek. Santiago hesitates whether to leave the Spain or not after the dream. However, King Melchizedek encourages Santiago by explaining that when someone decides to follow the destiny the whole world helps him from the beginning which is called Principle of favorability. "When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.” (Paulo Coelho P.22) By meeting Melchizedek, Santiago decides to leave Spain for his own destiny; while Santiago is traveling through the desert he meets the English man who helps him to understand the Soul of the World. The book states, ‘There are only that moment, and the incredible certainty that everything under the sun has been written by one hand only. It is the hand that evokes love, and creates a twin soul for every person in that world. Without such love, one’s dreams would have no meaning.’ (Paulo Coelho p.98) To get close to the Soul of the World, people have to trust something deeply inside to be able to discover something that they want. That is the closet point of the Soul of the World. Destinies, Principle of Favorability, the Soul of the World are the same positive forces that anyone can receives when they stays as intelligence as they can. Santiago understands all the positive forces and knows what he has to work on. Courageous Santiago uses his braveness to step up close to his true destiny.

Brave Santiago is able to cope with the conflicts and troubles that he receives from the adventure. During his journey, Santiago meets the Alchemist who helps him to be brave and fight back to the conflicts. “There is only one way to learn,” the alchemist answered. “It’s through action. Everything you need to know you have learned through your journey” (the Alchemist, p. 125). Santiago and the Alchemist is traveling the Great Pyramid and they meet the military camp. The military catch the alchemist and Santiago because they thought they are the spies. To survive from the military camp, the Alchemist introduces Santiago as an Alchemist and says to the military that Santiago can change himself into wind in three days. “But I have no idea how to turn myself in to the wind.” “If a person is living out his destiny he knows everything he needs to know. There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.” (The Alchemist and Santiago p.135) The alchemist challenges Santiago and put him into the danger to see Santiago’s braveness. On the third days, Santiago tries to change himself into wind by using all the positive forces that he learnt before. Also, Santiago finds out in the end, that the treasures are not at the Great Pyramid. It’s right under the spot where he dreamt about the treasure. He goes all the way back to the Spain without giving up and he finds the treasure lastly. Santiago was brave enough to start the journey, go through the journey and to finish up the adventure.

Santiago is indisputably adventurous, knowledgeable and brave to finds his own destiny. It might have been a challenging journey; however it was Santiago’s choice. It was possible for Santiago with his own spirits to leave Spain and go to Egypt, also to come back all the way back to Spain. Santiago was following his destiny. Following the chosen destiny is the most comfortable way for people to live. It’s chosen life for people who understands the world.
